get to know me more!
i have always had a love for color and beautiful design even before I knew what graphic design was. since i was a child, i have been obsessed with all things bright and sparkly.
in my junior year of high school, i started bullet journaling, which i consider the start of my interest in calligraphy and hand-lettering. this is also where i started doodling and illustrating, even though at the time i wouldn’t have considered myself an artist. bullet journaling was the catalyst of me pursuing creative things in life, and is something i keep up with to this day.
in may 2023 i graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in printmaking from Wayne State University. During my studies, i experimented with different printmaking techniques (Relief, Intaglio, Serigraph, and Risograph), which taught me a lot about bringing digital designs into the physical world.
as a designer, I am interested in playing with color, texture, and type. I have a special interest in physical processes, and love bringing physical elements to my digital work.
i also believe i am a lifelong learner. i consume content from different types of designers to see what they do that i can bring to my own work, like learning how to make my own mock-ups and assets. i think it is important to listen to others to better yourself, and allow for ideas you might not have thought of yourself. i also find importance in allowing yourself to be inspired by others. design is better when it is a collaborative process.
